Surgery is the best treatment for colorectal cancer, most especially for cure. Clinical Development and validation of computer vision protocol and demonstrator software for the quantification photon fluence/fluorescence for the purposes of intestinal perfusion (arterial and venous characteristics) in collaboration with mathematicians and software engineers in UCD and Industry
Consideration of fluorescence assessment as preoperative and postoperative sensing technology for the purposes of fitness/complication identification and prediction
Clinical development of a flexible sensing probe capable of both near infrared energy detection and robotic-assisted deployment.
